Description

This is a Non-Developmental Item (NDI)/Commercial competitive procurement of the Multi-Mode Aviation Radio Set (MARS) to meet a specified portion of the Alternate Communications (Alt Comms) requirement to provide communications for the UH-60M, CH-47F , AH-64D and ARH aircraft. MARS will provide secure and non-secure 2-way voice and data communications over the 30-512 MMHz frequency range. It will replace the existing ARC-164/KY-58 (HAVEQUICK)and ARC-186/KY58 (Air Traffic Control) radios and add capab ilities for UHF Military SATCOM and Civil Land Mobile Radio (LMR) with a single radio set. The contract will include MARS hardware production with warranty and logistics support and engineering services. A Firm-Fixed Price, 5 Year Indefinite Delivery Ind efinite Quantity (IDIQ) with a single 5 Year Option Contract is contemplated. Minimum guarenteed buy will include the following: 34 each of Multimode Receiver/Transmitter (RT) with Embedded COMSEC; 17 each of SATCOM/UHF High Power Amplifier (HPA); 34 each of Mounting Tray for Multimode RT; 17 each of Mounting Tray for SATCOM/UHF HPA; 17 each of SATCOM Preamplifier (single antenna element); 17 each of SATCOM Preamplifier (dual antenna element); 17 each of Remote Control Unit; 17 each of Installation Kit.
