Description

The Government has a requirement for Capillary Force Vaporizer (CFV) micro stoves. The CFV micro stove is used to prepare hot liquids for consumption and preparation of dehydrated arctic rations. Currently available stoves require pressurizatio n of a fuel bottle for operation which increases the risk of harm. The CFV stoves will use self pressurizing pellets. This effort will be solicited as Sole Source to Cascade Designs of Seattle, Washington for an award of a Firm Fixed Price contract for t he production of up to 1,000 CFV micro stove prototypes. The CFV pellet is a proprietary item of Cascade Designs and provides unique capabilities. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond tothis requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. However, all proposals received will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The official release of the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted on or about 25 July 2005 on the internet at the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website located at the following address: https//:acquisition.army.mil. The on-line version of the RFP includes all documents of the solicitation package. No hard copy of this RFP will be issued. Amendments, if any, will be posted at the same location as the solicitation. The complete solicitation package, including amendments should be received and review ed prior to submitting a response. The proposal will be submitted electronically.. It is the responsibility of those responding to the solicitation to obtain all amendments and/or other applicable documents..
