Description
This synopsis is issued for informational and planning purposes only. The information requested by this synopsis will be used within the Air Force to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. Please note that the Air Force will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this request for information. The Air Force requires Rough order of magnitude for ?field repair? of 463L pallets authorized in T.O. 35D33-2-2-2. (T.O. will be provided as an attachment to this posting or as a second posting.) CONOPS is field repair to be conducted at or near AF installations. Job description would require the following: a. Inspection and sorting of pallets IAW T.O. 35D33-2-2-2. ?Field repairable? pallets would be repaired by contractor, ?depot? repairable pallets would be marked as such and restacked. b. ?Field repairable? pallets would then be repaired IAW T.O. 35D33-2-2-2. Contractor would furnish all materials and tools to perform work. c. Repaired pallets would be stacked marked as ?repaired? as returned to AF. d. Initial locations considered: at/near(within 50 miles) Dover AFB, DE/ McGuire AFB, NJ/ Travis AFB, CA/ Ramestein AFB, GE e. Rough order magnitude price should consider: 1. Two manning options: Initial start at all locations simultaneously and use of two mobile teams. 2. Two location pricing on/off base. Contractor should plan to bring their own generator support if desired at AF locations. 3. If contractor has existing repair locations that they would like to suggest that might offer costs savings, please describe.
