Description

***The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Bruker Optics Inc. of Billerica, MA for the purchase of various replacements parts for existing equipment. ***Sole Source is determined based on the following: It is the only replacement parts that are 100% compatible with NIST?s existing MCT detector and Fourier Transform Spectrophotometer. Bruker Optics Inc, is the sole manufacturer and distributor for this required replacement parts. ***Delivery shall be FOB Destination, Gaithersburg, MD, and is required within 60 days after receipt of order.*** ***The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 339111, and the size standard is 500 employees.*** ***No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received by July 21, 2005.*** A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
