***** Estimated Issue Date Electronically in FedBizOpps is July 21, 2005 ***** This project is to construct three self-supporting radio towers at locations throughout Central Oregon. Chiloquin Ranger Station, north of Klamath Falls on US 97 will receive a 40? tall self-supporting tower and corresponding base. Ochoco Viewpoint, three miles west of Ochoco Divide, on Forest Road 27 will receive a 40? self-supporting tower base. Walker Mountain, approximately six miles northeast of Chemult will receive a 60? self-supporting tower base. Work includes excavation, backfill, formwork, rebar, and concrete for the tower bases. The awarded contractor will need to transport the unassembled, government supplied radio towers from storage at Lakeview and Prineville to the corresponding jobsites, and erect the towers to manufacturer specifications. Tower locations at Chiloquin and Ochoco Viewpoint are directly accessible by concrete trucks. Tower location at Walker Mountain will require use of an over ground concrete pump. The Government?s Estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. The successful contractor shall be required to provide 100% Payment Security prior to start work.
