Description
You are invited to bid on government surplus C-12 aircraft material located at Stevens Aviation., Greenville South Carolina. See attached Case Detail Report. The inventory is being offered as one lot "as is, where is" and the condition is B4 (used). Stevens Aviation and the DOD make no guarantees as to the operability or air worthiness of any of the material. If the items are to be used in an aircraft, the buyer is advised that the parts can not be used on commercial aircraft in the absence of specific FAA approval, and can not be sold back to the Department of Defense (DOD) or to foreign governments/military without the appropriate records/documentation. The aircraft parts may not meet FAA design standards, and inspections and FAA approvals may be needed to determine an aircraft part condition for safe operation, or parts eligibility for installation on a civil aircraft. Removal of the property will be at the purchaser's expense and responsibility for arranging transportation. Successful bidders must make payment in the form of a cashier's or official check or money order within 5 days after bid award made payable to the Treasurer of the United States. Awards will not be approved for any bidder entered on the List of Parties Excluded from Procurement, available at website http://epls.arnet.gov. All terms and conditions are as stated in the attachment. Several items require an end user certificate (DLA Form 1822 attached) and must be completed by the successful bidder prior to release of the material. Specific questions can be addressed to Rich Doughty, Stevens Aviation., telephone (864) 678-6182. All bids are to be submitted on or before the closing date of July 27, 2005 to DCMA Atlanta, ATTN: Glenn K. Robinson, 2300 Lake Park Drive, Suite 300, Smyrna, Georgia 30080-4091. Late bids will not be accepted unless post marked before the closing date. Bid opening will be August 4, 2005. Stevens Aviation shall not be liable for property damaged or personal injury to equipment or personnel of Successful Bidder or third persons subject property by Successful Bidder hereunder, and Successful Bidder agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Stevens Aviation, it's officers, employees and agent from any loss, cost damage, expense or liability of any nature or kind by reason of property damage or personal injury, whether to Stevens Aviation property or personnel or to the equipment or personnel of Successful Bidder or of third persons, in connection with such inspection, or removal of the property by Successful Bidder. Successful Bidder further agrees to maintain, and to cause any carrier designated by Successful Bidder to remove such property to maintain public liability and property damage insurance in reasonable amounts to cover the obligations set forth above.
