Description
A production of a C-130J Cargo Compartment Mock-Up to support Multi-Mission EC130J Modular Commando Solo program. The mocked-up cargo compartment shall be constructed of wood and replicate the interior design of a C-130J cargo compartment. The mock-up will serve as an integration model for Special Mission Equipment (SME) mounted on custom designed pallets for the Mod Solo program. Additionally, this cargo compartment mock-up may in the future be transferred to another facility so portability and reuse should be considered in design/materials. a.) Design to precise specifications, as defined in SMP 583, ?Hercules Structural Manual?, fabricate and build a C-130J cargo compartment Mock-Up at NAVAIR facility. b.) Design will include specifications of interior aircraft cargo compartment height and width dimensions corresponding with Fuselage Stations (FS), Waterline Stations (WL) and Buttick Lines (BL) equal to C-130J cargo compartment. c.) Specifications will include rib design and layout starting from airframe FS 245 and ending at FS 737. Dimension of rib spacing shall be in accordance with aircraft design specifications. In addition, references to Waterlines (WL) and Buttick lines (BL) locations will need to be identified within the Mock-Up. d.) Design will accommodate SME pallet, incorporating an existing independent pallet dolly/caster assembly for roll in/roll out capability using NAVAIR facility concrete floor. e.) Design will include a C-130 cargo compartment replication of a dual rail system equal in dimension (not operation e.g. mechanical/electrical locks) of the existing enhanced dual rail system that is present on the C-130J aircraft. It is desirable the dual rail assembly be able to accommodate at least one replicated pallet lock for each pallet position, left and right, in the C-130J Mock-Up. f.) Contractor will provide all required materials, manpower and tools to complete all design, fabrication and build up of C-130J Mock-Up cargo compartment at the designated NAVAIR facility. g.) Preliminary Design shall be presented to , NAVAIR , within 60 days of contract award for final approval before construction will commence
