Description

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a modification for the effort required to upgrade US, and possibly UK, Guidance Test Sets (GTS) with the new Guidance Electronics Unit (GEU-R) and the new Anti-jam GPS Receiver (AGR4). The redesigns of the GEU-R and AGR4 have been initiated under the Tomahawk Hardware Obsolescence Redesign (THOR) effort. NAVAIR intends to award this effort to Raytheon Systems Company (RSC), P.O. Box 11337, Tucson, AZ 85734-1337. Since 1994, RSC has been the sole developer, designer, and manufacturer for the Tomahawk All-Up Round. RSC solely possesses the current configuration and manufacturing data for the Tomahawk Block IV missile. RSC currently manages the key requirements, interface, integration, and verification documents of the Tomahawk Weapon System. Because a detailed knowledge and expertise of the Tomahawk Block IV missile is required to perform this effort, RSC is the only source capable of performing the tasks necessary to upgrade the GTS with the new GEU-R and AGR4 in the required timeframe and without duplication of costs.
