Description

DESCRIPTION: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request For Quotes (RFQ), solicitation number Q8219050202. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005 - 04. The North American Industrial Classification System code is 423320 and the business size standard is 100 employees. The proposed contract is not set aside. The solicitation is for 3,000 tons of 3/8" minus aggregate base material for the trails at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. The F.O.B. point is The North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Grand Canyon National Park, CC Hill, Grand Canyon, AZ 86023. Specifications: This material will be delivered to the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park, by the supplier. All material will be delivered to "C.C. Hill" maps will be provided to supplier as needed, by the NPS. Weight tickets will be required for each delivery. Prior to award, a 1 cubic foot sample must be provided by the successful offeror to determine the material is consistent with material currently being used by the Grand Canyon National Park for trail aesthetics. The aggregate must be reddish to pinkish brown color to match the local soils. The Government plans to award a firm fixed price contract without discussions resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Offeror shall identify the manufacturer and specification of the motor being offered. In addition to a completed SF Form 1449(or equal) and a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items. The Government will then assess each offeror's total contract line number (CLIN) price, to determine reasonableness. The clause FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. FAR 53.232-23.
