Description

The Bureau of Land Management, Colorado State Office, is soliciting for offers for the Bald Mountain Road Improvement Project in Chaffee County, Colorado. The project consists of furnishing labor, equipment, supplies, and materials to perform road maintenance and improvements on an existing primitive public access road. Road maintenance shall produce a road surface that is passaable with a standard sport utility vehicle. The contractor shall be required to use explosives prior to excavating rock. A mandatory prebid site tour is offered on Monday, August 1, 2005 at 11 am. Interested parties will meet at the Ruby Mountain Campground as shown on the site location map. A 4WD vehicle is recommended. The map and all the other data such as specifications, drawings, terms and condtions for the project will be available on this web site on or about July 20, 2005. Payment protection in the form of a payment bond or irrevocable letter of credit will be required of the awardee. The project is estimated at under $100,000.00. Offers will be accepted through August 20, 2005 and can be faxed to (970)244-3130 or mailed to USDI, BLM, EFO, 2815 H Road, Grand Junction, CO or submitted electronically and must be received no later than 8-20-05.
