Description: The AS-3997 is a commercial Ultra-High Frequency/Very High Frequency (UHF/VHF) antenna used to transmit and receive voice and data in the 225-400 megahertz range. It is used with the AN/ASC-15B radio suite in the UH-60 helicopter. Under the propose d contract, those AS-3997s that cannot be repaired will be replaced with the new AS-3997s. The proposed action is for a five-year, Firm-Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ)for repairs and new hardware. The minimum guaranteed buy un der the first delivery order is 8 each hardware and/or repairs. Government intends to award a sole source contract to Chelton, Ltd. See Numbered Note 22.
