Description
CSC Applied Technologies LLC (CSC) contemplates issue of an UNFUNDED Request For Proposal (URFP) to Replace Runway ? Kegelman AAF, OK as solicitation number URFP078P. Funds are not currently available for this solicitation and have not been promised or guaranteed. There shall be no legal liability on the part of the Government or CSC should funding not be provided. In the absence of funding no contract will result. CSC reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date in the absence of funding. Offers will be required to provide for an acceptance period which extends through 31 December 2005. Offers may be privately opened after the closing date to determine apparent low offeror. Result of offers will not be publicly announced unless award of contract should result. Offer bid bonds will be held for the entire acceptance period should funds not be readily forthcoming. It is recommended that offerors consider this impact on their bonding capacity if an offer is anticipated. This project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to completely replace runway and overruns pavements by rubblizing existing concrete pavements and overlaying with asphalt, for the partial demolition and replacement or grass restoration of taxiway pavements areas removed at Kegelman Auxiliary Field. Performance shall be in accordance with Schedule F and if funded work would typically begin between 1 April and 31 May. All work within 100 feet of the runway and overruns to be completed prior to the 120th calendar day from the first day of runway closure. Within all work areas, repaint completely all runway and overrun pavement markings. The Contractor shall be required to accurately layout and paint all new markings required. Additional work may include: (1) Providing new sections of arresting barriers concrete structures, which shall include but is not to be limited to the following items of construction: reinforcing steel, dowels, tie bars, dowel baskets, materials, concrete placement, concrete finishing, curing, saw cutting, joint preparation, joint seal, etc.; (2) Runway pavement grooving; (3) Pavement markings; (4) Edge grading. All work shall be in strict accordance with project plans and specifications and will provide for a complete project. NAICS 237310, No Set Aside Due To Magnitude. Small Business Size $28.5M. Magnitude $5M-$10M. Estimated Issue Date: 21 July 2005 Pre-Bid Meeting Date: 2 August 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Kegelman Auxiliary Air Field. Bid Closing Date: 23 August 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Bldg 244 Dock 4. All interested persons wishing to attend the, non-mandatory but highly recommended, Pre-Bid Meeting must provide the following information a minimum of five (5) days prior to the Pre-Bid Meeting or access to Kegelman Auxiliary Airfield cannot be guaranteed. Once solicitation zip file is posted for download, use an IBM compatible computer running Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher to access the http://ifb.csc.com Web page.
