Description

The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to negotiate a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract with Springfield, Inc., Geneseo, IL, under Request for Quote (RFQ) 0144398. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site www.fedbizopps.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Springfield, Inc., is to provide 50 each 1911A .45 caliber pistols. These pistols are being purchased as a follow on to the FBI?s contract J-FBI-98-059. All pistols shall be delivered under the same terms and conditions as were identified in the initial contract. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit proposals to this office by 2:00 PM, EDT, Wednesday, July 13, 2005, via facsimile to the attention of Ms. Theresa M. Powell, Contracting Officer, at (703) 632-1607. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System number is 332994, the size standard is 1,000 employees, and is being issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 12. Telephone requests will not be accepted. See Note 1.
