Description
This amended notice changes the Response date to August 8th. This project is a total HubZone Set Aside. You must be a registered HubZone firm at the time of bid opening. The purpose of this contract is to This project involves removal of an existing native log bulkhead structure, construction of a 12% gradient low angle ramp, and minor site drainage work. Some of the major work items for the project are: structure excavation and removal of the existing log bulkhead, producing and placing borrow excavation, haul, mobilization, installation of one new culvert drainage structure and retrofitting of one existing culvert, installation of perimeter log berms for improved diversion of surface runoff to the existing and/or new drainage structures, quality control, and quantity measurement. The Contractor will also need to furnish and import 269 cubic yards of rock or stone for use as Class 4 riprap. The proposed work on this project requires modification of the Government?s existing Corps of Engineer?s Permits and State of Alaska consistency finding for this facility. The Government is in the process of securing these permit modifications. On-site construction work on this project will be restricted to those areas of the project that are above the Extreme Tide Line (+20.0 Ft.) until the Corps of Engineer?s Permit and State Consistency Determination are signed and approved The project area is located on the Petersburg Ranger District of the Tongass National Forest. It is approx. 12 miles north-northeast of Petersburg, Alaska. The M.A.F. is located on the western shore of the southern arm of Thomas Bay near the mouth of the Patterson River. The estimated price range for this acquisition is between $100,000 and $250,000. The performance period is 365 days with an estimated start work on September 1, 2005. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about July 6, 2005 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation from the Internet if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation AG-0116-S-05-0014. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date. AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION: By registering to receive notification on posted synopses, you will be automatically notified via email of any changes to the project. PLAN HOLDERS LISTS: The Interested Vendors List (IVL) has replaced the plan Holders Lists that was previously available with solicitation packages. Follow this procedure for EACH project of interest. Use the Register as Interested Vendor option to add your company name to the IVL and then view or print the IVL by selecting View List of Interested Vendors for each project.
