Description

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) seeks to increase the level of effort for the duration of the existing contract (PBGC01-CT-03-0668) with BAE Systems (formerly User Technology Associates (UTA)) for operating and managing PBGC's computer hardware located in the Corporate Computer Center, LAN rooms and at the WAN sites as well as performing tape back-up and restore activity. The additional level of effort is required to accommodate more monitoring and back-up activity resulting from the significant increase in PBGC hardware and data created by the trusteeship of pension plans. The contractor has also been tasked with additional backup reporting requirements. This is a continuation of work already undertaken by the existing provider. It is in the best interest of the PBGC for the current provider to complete this work by increasing the hours under the existing contract. This increase under the existing contract will ensure continuity in the work. This is not a request for proposal. See Note 22.
