Wolfe Ave., Edwards AFB, CA 93524 SUBJECT: CD-ROM JOURNALS AND REFERENCE PAPERS REF NO.: F1S0AW5139B002 DUE: 11 JUL 2005 POC: Linda Griffiths, 661-275-7866 (fax) DESC: The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB intends to award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to AIAA, 1801 Alexander Bell Drive, Reston, VA 20190-4344. This acquisition is unrestricted. The NAICS code is 516110. The following items will be procured: AIAA Scientific Journals and Papers. AIAA will provide a process of converting hard copy publications into CD-Rom. Many of these publications are required reading. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government's requirement. In addition, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Anticipated Award date is Jul 13, 2005. Responses must be received no later than (NLT) 4:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, July 11, 2005. Responses should be submitted to: Directorate of Contracting, 412TW/PKDA (Attn: Linda Griffiths), 5 South Wolfe Avenue, Building 2800, Edwards AFB, CA 93524-1185, Fax: (661) 275-7884). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within 10 days of the publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Facsimile responses are acceptable and must be received on or before the closing date. Telephone requests to be placed on a mailing list will not be honored.
