Description

The Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Air Resources Laboratory (ARL), Atmospheric Turbulence and Diffusion Division (ATDD), is issuing an intent to negotiate a sole source procurement with Met One Instruments, Inc., for meteorological monitoring equipment. This unique equipment assist in logging real-time measurements of surface temperature, precipitation, wind speed and solar radiation. The Met One equipment is 100% compatible and will work with existing U.S. Climate Reference Networks (CRN) located in 35 states throughout the country, and enables the continued production of additional CRN in the United States. The statutory authority is 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. The applicable NAICS code is 334513. The size standard is 500 employees. Interested parties may identify their interest and must provide evidence of their capability to respond to this requirement by June 30, 2005. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Note 22 applies.
