Description

Addition to Statement of Work: Item 4.7 Errors & Omissions. [These Specifications are hereby amended to include the following, additional requirement(s).] In the construction of the new office, Contractor shall provide and install two (2) carbon monoxide detectors - one (1) hard-wired and one (1) plug in. Each unit shall meet UL Specification 2034 (1998 revision). The hard-wired unit shall be a Kidde Nighthawk Part Number 900-0121, or equivalent. Installation shall be similar to that of an additional electrical wall outlet at a location mutually acceptable to Government (Project Engineer) and Contractor. Installation shall be consistent with the requirement that every five (5) years, this unit will require replacement. The 120v plug-in unit shall be installed in a new (additional), single, wall outlet located at eye-level in the vicinity of the to-be-install-by-others office furniture. Location to be mutually acceptable to Government (Project Engineer) and Contractor. The plug-in unit shall be a Kidde Nighthawk Part Number 900-0099, or equivalent. Each unit shall not be older than 6 months from date of manufacture (i.e., have at least 90% of its service life left at time of installation). *********ONLY WRITTEN REQUESTS FOR COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE HONORED********* IMPORTANT: TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED ********* The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and supervision to remodel a womens restroom for private use to a future bunk area and to convert a general purpose warehouse for use as an office space to include optional bidding on installation of exterior windows at ISC Kodiak?s FIREHOUSE, Bldg N64. Materials, workmanship, and installation shall comply with the latest edition of all applicable codes and industry standards and these specifications. ***********Contractor is responsible for field verification of all material sizes and quantities necessary for the complete installation of this project before quoting. ************ GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: as stated in Statement of Work. Performance Period is 45 ? 60 days. (3) COPIES OF SUBMITTALS DUE UPON AWARD may include but are not limited to: manufacturer?s catalogs, standard schedules, performance charts, instructions, brochures, diagrams, etc., in addition MSDS?s, references / qualifications. Lack of adequacy of references shall be at the sole discretion of the government and may constitute grounds for disqualification. CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH requirements of: ACI304, ACI347, UBC, NEC, State of Alaska Administrative Codes, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards; Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), ANSI Standards, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), MIL SPEC, FED STD, and applicable Coast Guard Safety Regulations. ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS ARE CONTAINED IN STATEMENT OF WORK THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH REQUEST FOR QUOTE DOCUMENTS WHEN THEY ARE ISSUED ON APPROXIMATELY JUNE 6, 2005. A SITE VISIT will be held approximately two weeks before quote is due. (Site visits are not mandatory, but are highly encouraged) Location: U.S. Coast Guard, Integrated Support Command, Kodiak, Alaska. Estimated price is UNDER $100,000. This is a small business set aside. All responsible sources may submit a written quotation, which shall be considered. Solicitation package issue date is approximately JUNE 6, 2005.
