Description

SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING DRAWINGS, WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE WEBSITE ONLY. The work will consist of fabricate and install a metal staircase with handrails on a rock bluff. The staircase shall be attached to the overlying concrete with base p lates, steel anchors and grout. The staircase will terminate at the bottom on the upper portion of a rip-rapped slope. The Contractor shall cover the riprap with a specified aggregate to provide a bed for a terraced concrete pad that will provide access to the water for fishing. The Contractor will form, pour and finish the concrete pad over the rip rap and placed aggregate. Depending on water level, some adjustment to the extent of the fishing platform is anticipated and the lowermost portion is accor ding to unit price. At the top of the staircase, a chain-link fabric gate shall be fabricated and installed. The gate will replace a section of highway guardrail currently in place. Optional items are incorporated for segmental increased lateral extent of concrete pad. ADMIN INFO: The estimated cost range for this job is between $100,000 and $250,000.
