- This notice of intent is from the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) to contract with AJA International, Incorporated, 809 Country Way, Scituate, MA 02066 on an other than full and open competitive basis. The contractor shall provide an ultra-high vacuum (uhv) deposition system for the growth of epitaxial films of multifunctional magnetic materials. Such characteristics that must be met are the system must be bakeable to 200C; the magnetron sources must incorporate a mechanism to remotely control the position and angle of the head in-situ without breaking vacuum; and the substrate manipulator must accept existing Riber style molecular beam epitaxy sample holders, repeatedly provide heating to 750C in a pure oxygen environment and provide both +/- degree primary, continuous azimuthal and 6? linear motion. The required delivery is no later than sixteen weeks after date of contract award. This is not a solicitation. See Numbered Note 22.
