Wolfe Ave., Edwards AFB, CA 93524 SUBJECT: Thin Cylinder, measures hydrostatic transfers through gauges and interpret stress diagrams REF NO.: F1SBAA5140B006 DUE: 30 June 2005 POC: Deanna Wright, deanna.wright@edwards.af.mil; 661-277-7706 (ph), 661-275-7859 (fax) DESC: The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB intends to award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to Thermal Product Solutions, 700 E. Redlands Bl, PMB U-297, Redlands, CA 92373. This acquisition is unrestricted. The NAICS code is 339111. The following item will be procured: The SM1007 Computer Linked Thin Cylinder Apparatus is unique for 2 reasons. 1. It has the special capability of being operated in both the ?open ends? or ?closed ends? condition. This is attained by the use of a surrounding frame which allows the hydrostatic end load to be transferred from the body of the cylinder to the frame by the movement of a screw. 2. The unit fully strain gauges are located on the cylinder's surface and interpretive stress diagrams including 'Mohr's Circle of Strain'. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical quote, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government's requirement. In addition, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Anticipated Award date is June 29, 2005. Responses must be received no later than (NLT) 4:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, June 30, 2005.
