Description

The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Grand Forks Human Nutrition Center, Grand Forks, North Dakota, intends to enter into a single source contract with Perkin Elmer Life and Analytical Sciences, Shelton, Connecticut, for the purchase of one Perkin Elmer Liquid Chromatograph Speciation System for use with a Government-owned Perkin Elmer ICP/MS Spectrometer system. The Liquid Chromatograph (LC) data acquisition and control must be part of the ICP/MS software (Chromera Software), which can integrate and control both instruments. Starting the LC-ICP/MS analysis and calculating of an LC chromatogram must come directly from the Mass Spectrometer software. The methods the USDA is required to use were developed for this requested equipment. The system must also include all items necessary to connect the LC to the Perkin Elmer ICP/MS including an ICP interface kit. *Please provide Qualification Statement by Close of Business July 5, 2005, if interested in this procurement.
