Description

The Small Business Set Aside Request for Proposal (RFP) for outreach, admissions and career transition services for youth in the State of Iowa will be available approximately Monday, July 11, 2005 on the World Wide Web at http://www.FedBizOpps.gov/ and http://wdsc.doleta.gov/jobcorps/. Job Corps is a program that targets disadvantaged and at-risk youth ages 16 through 24, and emphasizes long-term employability by providing educational and occupational skills training along with support services, in a residential setting. RFP DOLJ06RA00008 is to provide outreach and admissions for 550 arrivals from the State of Iowa and career transition services for 300 Job Corps youth returning to the State of Iowa. The resultant contract will cover the period April 1, 2006 through March 31, 2008, plus three Government unilateral option years. A Pre-Proposal conference will be held at 230 S. Dearborn, John J. Kluczynski Federal building, Office of Job Corps, 6th floor, Room 676, on Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at 10:00a.m. local time. We recommend that you download the RFP from our website prior to the conference and bring the RFP with you to the conference. All questions prior to the pre-proposal conference should be submitted in writing. Proposals in response to this RFP will be due no later than 12:00 p.m. (noon), local time, on Thursday, September 1, 2005, at the following address. U. S.
