Description

This solicitation is for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The intent of this solicitation is to furnish all equipment, labor, materials and supervision necessary to install 1? innerduct with pull string (approximately 475 linear feet) between Signal Manholes #7, 6 and 4 on the grounds of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Hampton, VA. This work will require open-cut trenching and/or directional boring, and placement/installation of an additional 4? PVC conduit (to house 1? innerduct w/pull string) in these sections. The existing manholes will be modified to accept the new 4? PVC conduit so that no new manholes will be required. This task must be completed prior to installation (by others) of a DS3 telecommunications line, which will facilitate VISN6 server consolidation efforts, providing a data communications link between VAMC Hampton and the new Data Center located at VAMC Richmond. This contract must be completed within one week after receipt of Notice to Proceed. This is a 100% Total Set Aside For Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOB). The NAICS code is 235990 and the small business size standard is $12. M. The VA Medical Center, Hampton, VA. intends to solicit quotes and award a firm fixed price contract on a competitive basis to the offeror(s) whose quotation meets the requirements of this solicitation. Period of contract will be from date of award through one week after notice to proceed.
