Description
This is a synopsis with a separately issued solicitation. The National Cancer Institute plans on procuring printing, scanning, mailing and data services from qualified contractors within the Baltimore/Washington DC Metropolitan area (100 mile radius). This requirement is being prepared in accordance with format in FAR 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The acquisition will be made pursuant to the authority in FAR 13.5 to use simplified procedures for commercial items. This requirement is a Total Small Business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification Code is 323110 and the business size standard is 500 employees. Title: AARP/NCI Research Study, 05-NCI-PC-064. Requirement: 12 page S/C survey booklet, which will comply with optical scanning requirements and Optical survey image database capture, 2 envelopes, a letter, a post card, 4 mail drops, OCR scanning & database creations for both respondents and non-respondents and storage of the returned surveys. Basis for Award: Award will be based upon two sets of prices from the offerors. First a lot price for all manufacturing operations and second, a scanning price per thousand responses based upon a minimum quantity of surveys. This is a firm fixed price contract. Deadline date for requesting the solicitation is June 22, 2005. When requesting a copy of the solicitation, please provide a complete mailing address, point of contact, phone/fax numbers, email address and DUNS number. No collect calls will be accepted. Interested parties must refer to solicitation number RFQ-NCI-50059-NG. Please note any questions pertaining to this requirement must be directed to Malinda Holdcraft, Contract Specialist via electronic mail. In order to received an award contractors must have successfully completed the NCI Requirements for New Bidders, prior to consideration of their proposal for award. A minimum of sixty calendar days are necessary for the evaluation processing to be completed. Award shall not be delayed pending the evaluation process. In order to receive an award, contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA).
