Description

The U.S Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for dredging 72,000 cubic yards of sediment and sludge from the Central Canal located adjacent to the lodge at Mattamuskeet NWR. Other items subsidiary to the dredging shall include mobilization, demobilization, levee construction and water control installation associated with the spoil pond construction, and environmental control installation necessary to ensure that turbidity is controlled. This is not a small business set-aside in accordance with the latest quarterly adjustment under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS code is 237990. The size standard is $28.5 million. The estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The tentative IFB issue date is on or about 06/27/05, with a 30 day closing. A firm-fixed price contract will be issued. The anticipated award date is on/about 08/12/05. The IFB documents will be available electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities Web Site at HTTP://FEDBIZOPPS.GOV under IFB Number 401815B020. Paper copies WILL NOT be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site for any updates/amendments.
