Description

This requirement is for the modification of the existing lodging playground to add additional elements and to correct deficiencies in existing elements to meet current safety standards. The contractor shall excavate the playground to add and/or remove dirt to level the field ensuring proper drainage of the playground area. The contractor shall provide necessary compaction of fill material, forming and pouring of 4 inches thick reinforced slab over approximately 7,300 square feet to serve as a sub base for pour-in-place safety surfacing. Surfacing to include: Road w/partial center stripe; 4-Square, and Hopscotch. Contractor will modify existing elements, Cliff Climb and Overhead Events, to correct head entrapment dangers or hazards using original manufacturer parts and components from the Kid Builder line currently manufactured by Play Power LT. Contractor shall provide written certification that all elements, surfaces, and installation meet or exceed Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) standards. Magnitude of construction for this requirement is between $100,000 and $250,000. Project shall be completed within 90 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. This solicitation will be a written request for proposals requiring written proposals. Award will be based on best value, past performance price trade-off with past performance being approximately equal to price. Solicitation will be issued on or about 21 Mar 05, exact Proposal date will be identified in the Request for Proposal. All responsible sources registered in CCR may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency.
