Description
1. THIS IS NOT A PRE-SOLICITATION notice pursuant to FAR Part5, It is a RC-12D/H AIRCRAFT CONDITION INSPECTION PROGRAM SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. This Sources Sought Synopsis is part of the Acquisition Market Research Analysis and will be used to det ermine the basis for any competitive aspects of the acquisition. Based upon receipt of responses and analysis, a determination will be made to ascertain the Government position of only one source versus a competitive solicitation. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FO R PROPOSAL SUBMISSION. This is a market research tool to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources; owned and operated by Korean Nationals, or U.S. firms now performing or able to perform in the Republic of Korea that are capable of pe rforming depot level maintenance and repairs on Army fixed wing aircraft at an aviation facility in South Korea. The contractor is required to have a FAA Part 145 certified Repair Station with a license for King Air 200 Series aircraft. 2. Firms interested in responding to this announcement shall go to our website www.inscom.army.mil then click on Inscom Organizations, then click on Contracting Activities, then solicitations. Your company MUST be registered in the Central Contracting Re gistration (CCR) database to receive Department of Defense contract awards resulting from solicitations issued after 31 May 1998. The Government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this notice, nor will it reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. 4. Solicitation number W911W4-05-R-0005 DUE NLT COB 24 June 2005. The Aircraft Condition Inspection is a periodic inspection over and above the original equipment manufacturers recommended inspection requirements for the purpose of identifying airframe degradation due to corrosion and/or aging. The RC-12 Series aircr aft located in South Korea will undergo scheduled inspections, maintenance, repair, strip and repainting, and Army directed modifications in South Korea. The scope of the work includes the following general requirements: providing FAA approved Part 145 Rep air, maintenance, preventive maintenance, rebuilding and alteration to ensure aircraft are in airworthy condition. The contractor shall provide logistics and maintenance support at a South Korean maintenance repair facility, approved by the Army owner/oper ator. Contractor shall provide capabilities, services, materials, and personnel necessary to conduct (ACI) operations. Engineering support, technical support, all phases of commercial maintenance, logistics support, including repair and modification and Over & Above Depot Maintenance work, to have the facilities and equipment to perform strip and repaint of the airframe. The Army will only release a solicitation/RFP, including any subsequent amendments if sufficient competition exists. For record purposes , prospective offerors are requested to notify Thomas Trivisani now of your interest in this solicitation and complete and submit the (Contractor Capability Survey) for Program Depot Maintenance on the R/C-12D Beech King Air fixed wing series aircraft NLT COB 24 June 2005.
