- Description
- The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Space Vehicles Directorate (VS), Space Based Infrared Technology Branch (AFRL/VSSS) at Kirtland AFB NM is interested in receiving proposals for Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) VS-05-05 from all offerors to advance the state-of-the-art and scientific knowledge in the area in visible, radiation hardened focal plane array (FPA) technology. The total program budget for this effort is approximately $6M over two (2) years. The Space Superiority System Program Officer (SPO) (SMC/SY) will sponsor the work. The objective of this effort is to advance visible sensor state-of-the art for Space Situational Awareness (SSA) technology needs. The goal of this program is the development of high performance, high functionality, large format visible sensor chip assemblies (SCA) for SSA sensors. Desired features of these SCA include large format, fast framing capability, windowing capability, and on-chip A/D conversion. Prospective offerors are encouraged to contact the technical POC to verify interest in the effort to be proposed as well as obtain the specific classified and unclassified goals of the objective system. The contractor will investigate methodologies, which include designing and/or processing of detector arrays and readout circuitry to improve radiation tolerance and determine the yield and cost of fabricating a lot of radiation hardened SCA’s based on the goals provided. Up to ten (10) radiation hardened SCA’s are desired as deliverable to AFRL. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (03-MAR-2005). IT ACTUALLY APPEARED OR REAPPEARED ON THE FEDBIZOPPS SYSTEM ON 07-JUN-2005, BUT REAPPEARED IN THE FTP FEED FOR THIS POSTING DATE. PLEASE CONTACT fbo.support@gsa.gov REGARDING THIS ISSUE.
