Description: The Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit of the USDA Forest Service is contracting to replace existing roof on the Valhalla Main Building located within the Heller Estate of the Tallac Historic District in South Lake Tahoe, California, just west of the Camp Richardson Resort. To reach the project location, drive NW toward Emerald Bay from the intersection of State Highway 89 and U.S. Highway 50 approximately 2 and 1/2 miles, just past Camp Richardson. Turn right at the Valhalla sign and follow the road into the sites. The government estimate is $100,000 to $250,000. Estimated solicitation issue date is July 1, 2005. Estimated start work date Aug. 22, 2005, contract time 46 days. There will be a pre-bid meeting Thursday,July 14, 2005, 1:00 p.m., on the front lawn of Valhalla, adjacent to the driveway.
