- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Contracting Department Philadelphia Division intends to procure medical records coding services on a 100% small business set aside basis at various Naval Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS). The solicitation will result in multiple-award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts. Specific requirements will be awarded via task orders, which will normally be competed among the selected contractors. Specific locations of work may include: Naval Hospital Camp Lejuene; Naval Hospital Cherry Point; Naval Hospital Great Lakes; Naval Health Clinic New England; Naval Medical Center Portsmouth; Naval Medical Clinic Annapolis; Naval Medical Clinic Patuxent River; Naval Medical Clinic Quantico, National Naval Medical Center Bethesda; Naval Hospital Beaufort; Naval Hospital Corpus Christi; Naval Hospital Charleston; Naval Hospital Guantanamo Bay; Naval Hospital Jacksonville; Naval Hospital Naples; Naval Hospital Pensacola; Naval Hospital Rota; Naval Hospital Signonella; Naval Hospital 29 Palms; Naval Hospital Bremerton; Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton; Naval Hospital Guam; Naval Hospital Lemoore; Naval Hospital Oak Harbor; Naval Hospital Okinawa; Naval Hospital Yokosuka; Naval Medical Center San Diego; Naval Medical Clinic Pearl Harbor; Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, Department of the Navy; and Naval Healthcare Support Offices in Norfolk, Jacksonville, and San Diego. The resultant contractors shall: provide medical records coding services; provide medical records coding training that is tailored to the healthcare providers; create templates for healthcare providers in the Government provided computer system; provide quality control/auditing services; and provide medical record administration services. Services will be performed either remotely from the contractor?s facility or onsite within the MTF as specified in the specific task order. The Government is using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described services. The solicitation will require the submission of technical proposals and price proposals. Multiple-award Firm Fixed Priced contracts will result from the solicitation. The resultant Firm Fixed Price contract(s) will encompass a one-year base period of performance commencing on or around 16 September 2005 with option provisions for four (4), one-year option periods to extend the term of the contract through Fiscal Year 2010. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code and size standard are 518210 and $21,000,000.00, respectively.
