- Description
- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), Bethesda, Maryland has a requirement for a Transmission Electron Microscope. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 334516, and the business size is 500 employees. This equipment shall include at a minimum, but not be limited to, the following characteristics and features. (1) Shall provide TecnaiTM G2 20 Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) with the following features: a. Shall be a highly automated 200 kV TEM with TWIN Lens; b. Shall be equipped with dedicated software and hardware for superb TEM imaging; c. Shall include Tecnai T20 Installation kit with water-cooled chiller; d. Shall include Low-Dose Exposure Technique and Performance Test; e. Shall include Tecnai Parfocal Magnification Series; f. Shall include compressor 115V, 50/60 Hz; g. Shall include LaB5 Emitter; h. Shall include a Cryo-Box 120/200kV; i. Shall include a MagicSwitch; j. Shall be capable of embedding - AMT XR100 when software becomes available; k. Shall include Network hub; (2) Shall be compatible with existing TecnaiTM G2 Spirit BioTWIN; (3) Contractor shall include support for the lab's existing CCD Camera and be capable of imbedding its operational commands into the microscope operation software; (4) Shall provide high-resolution 2D and 3D imaging and analysis through a high level of microscope automation and intelligence; (5) Shall provide high level of automation without limiting full user control; (6) Shall be ready for new applications like EDS, STEM, and 3D-imaging using tomography and/or cryo-electron microscopy; (7) Shall have a very high diffraction acceptance angle for making it suitable for weak beam, tilting, and other analytical experiments; (8) Shall include On-Site Applications Training; and (9) Shall include three-year warranty on OEM manufactured parts with standard service coverage. Concerns that respond to this synopsis shall furnish concise responses directed specifically to the requirements mentioned above and are invited to submit capability statements in an ORIGINAL PLUS TWO (2) no later than fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of this announcement, June 15, 2005. Written responses shall include complete description of the services to be provided, containing sufficient technical information to permit agency analysis to establish a bona fide capability to meet the stated requirements as listed above.
