Description
The objective of this program is to develop and demonstrate advanced structural technologies that will enable a highly common or modular airframe approach for future advanced mobility aircraft missions including tactical transport, tanker, special operations, and gunship. A "Family of Aircraft" is desirable to take advantage of economies of scale. The focus should be on optimizing the structural design of a common airframe with competing load path requirements to minimize the weight penalty.
