Description
A firm-fixed price five-year requirements contract is anticipated for the following items: Drift Tube Module, NSN 6665-01-380-8449, Part Number 5-15-17032; Drift Tube Module Kit, NSN 6665-01-382-8546, Part Number 442-073; Membrane Assembly, NSN 6665-01-383-6195, Part Number 442-313. The Government has a requirement for an estimated total quantity of 3,050 each Drift Tube Module (NSN 6665-01-380-8449), 2,500 each Drift Tube Module Kit (NSN 6665-01-382-8546), and 800 each Membrane Assembly (NSN 6665-01-383-6195). All items being procure d are for use on the Improved Chemical Agent Monitor (ICAM). The Drift Tube Module (NSN 6665-01-380-8449) consists of a cell assembly and manifold assembly. The cell assembly, which contains the radioactive source, is in the form of a stack of components h eld together with stainless steel rods and a retaining clip. Two of the rods provide airflow paths for the drift and source regions of the cell. The Drift Tube Module is responsible for the identification of nerve and mustard agents within the ICAM. The Dr ift Tube Module Kit (NSN 6665-01-382-8546) contains 1 Shim; 3 Ship Retaining Sleeves; 1 Seal, Nozzle Holder/Case; 1 Disc, Solid, Plain. The kit is used when replacing a Drift Tube Module. The Membrane Assembly (NSN 6665-01-383-6195) is a thin silicone rubb er layer that forms a division between the outside air and the controlled environment inside the Drift Tube Module. The membrane permits chemical agent vapor molecules to permeate the cell assembly for identification. FOB point shall be destination. Items are to be procured using full and open competition. Estimated solicitation issue date is June 10, 2005, with an estimated response date of July 11, 2005. First Article Test is required. NRC license is required. This solicitation will be issued electronical ly in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any intere sted parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may rende r your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
