Description

We are currently searching for potential suppliers for an Automated Access Control System Personnel Screening Portal. The system shall consist of two fully enclosed, bi-directional portals which provide for separation between high and low security, substantially constructed of glass panels supported by aluminum cross members. The portals shall have separate entry and exit doors that are controlled individually by automated access control equipment. The access control system electronics will be provided by the government. The glass panels and doors shall conform to UL972. The system shall include an x-ray scanning machine located between the portals for screening hand-held objects. The system shall be able to detect weapons and small metallic objects down to a size of 1 inch x 2 inch x ? inches and be capable of detecting tailgating activities. The installation, including x-ray machine, must fit in a space 16 feet x 26 feet x 8 feet high. The system shall also be capable of interfacing the Lenel OnGuard 2000 access control system and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) Argus integrated security and access control system. Control interface specifications will be provided as part of a subsequent procurement specification.
