- Description
- The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) intends to apply for approval of a Foreign Comparative Testing (FCT) project to evaluate an Automated Software Entity Relationship Extractor. The Program Executive Office for Intelligence and Information Systems, located at MacDill Air Force Base, FL, is looking for companies with the capabilities and facilities to provide COTS, NDI, or near NDI component technologies that can be incorporated into an Automated Software Entity Relationship Extractor. Vendor must be capable of providing off the shelf software that evaluates and qualifies an automated tool that can extract and link names, organizations, and other entity information contained within the unstructured text of several hundred million text files in English and other languages. All offerors products will also be evaluated to determine effectiveness in demonstrating the ability to identify and depict the relationship path between any two entities, and be capable of identifying relationships based on both proximity of entities and semantic content between the entities. USSOCOM is interested in vendors who are currently using the most advanced technologies in the design and fabrication of these component items. The Government may acquire for testing purposes one or more vendor products that appear to meet or exceed the stated criteria. Foreign software will be evaluated for suitability as an Automated Software Entity Relationship Extractor. This evaluation will be used to determine cost and performance trade-offs for hardware/software associated with these devices. Responses are requested of those suppliers who can provide working software ready for test and demonstration purposes on or about 01 January 2006. Responses to this market survey are due on or before July 8, 2005 and must include a product description with performance parameters and a statement regarding current availability, indication of the technology readiness level or maturity of the technology, summary of prior testing, test reports, summary of logistic and maintenance requirements, an estimated schedule and an estimated cost for the price of test articles and production units. Please provide name of firm, address, POC, phone/fax number, and email address. Provide responses to USSOCOM (Attn SOAL-K) 7701 Tampa Point Blvd, MacDill AFB, FL 33621, ATTN: E. J. More, Contracting Officer, moree@socom.mil. E- mail responses are encouraged. All communication must be conducted via e-mail. This synopsis does not constitute a Request for Proposals, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited.
