Description
The purpose of this solicitation amendment notice is to: 1. Change the response date for Combined Synopsis/Solicitation #W15QKN-05-T- 0137, from May 26, 2005 to June 3, 2006. 2. Revise the body of the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation as follows: In paragraph 6, Assembly: The first sentence is changed from - ???The assembly will consist of a fixed simulated NATO standard 155 mm projectile body and a shaft with a MIL-STD-333 fuze interface??? to - ???The assembly will consist of a fixed simulated NATO standard 155 mm projectile body, fabricated with Alloy Steel, and an aluminum shaft with a MIL-STD-333 fuze interface.??? In paragraph 11, WARRANTY : The first sentence is changed from - ???The Contractor shall extend all warranties to be identical to those offered to the general public in customary commercial practices, should those terms exceed the requirements of this solicitation for a one year warranty??? to - ???The Contractor shall extend all warranties offered to the general public in customary commercial practices.??? In paragraph 12, COVERAGE PERIOD ???The first sentence is changed from ???The warranty period will commence upon date of delivery to the Government and shall end a minimum of one year from that date??? to ???The warranty period will commence upon date of delivery to the Government and shall end upon expiration date of warranty. Offerors shall include warranty period in their quotations.??? 3. Provide the following answers to questions received in response to solicitation W15QKN-05-T-0137: Question #1: Provide clarifications to specifications for Acceleration/Deceleration, Pitch range. Answer: Interested parties are directed to access the website http://procnet.army.mil , select Business Opportunities, and view Solicitation #W15QKN-05-T-0137 for specifications. The specifications appear as they do because of typographical errors due to software upload. The above website should display the technical character set correctly. Question #2: The solicitation mentions 2 electrical interfaces, the RS-232 and IEEE 488. Are both required or will either do? Answer: Both interfaces are required. Question #3: Is this a commercial item? Answer: Yes, this is a modified commercial item. Question #4: What material is to be used for the 155mm projectile? Answer: The 155mm projectile is to be fabricated from alloy steel. Question #5: Has this device been built before? Answer: Similar devices have been built. All other terms and conditions of the combined synopsis/solicitation remain unchanged.
