Description
The General Services Administration Federal Supply Service (FSS) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) issues this Request for Information (RFI) seeking a business rule mining capability to be used for the modernization and enhancement of a legacy batch-type system called FSS-19. The GSA FSS CIO is seeking information for commercial software solutions to document and re-engineer the FSS-19 legacy system. The CIO has established the following requirements, based on the current environment which must be re-engineered. FSS seeks sources for re-usable, commercial, off the shelf software products that provide a team of business analysts i.e., at the enterprise level, with on-demand, automated methods to identify and catalog business logic incorporated into Unisys ClearPath MCP COBOL74 & COBOL 85 source programs, Unisys ClearPath Master Control Program (MCP) Workflow Language (WFL) jobs, and Unisys ClearPath MCP DMS II database schemas. The product must also support the aggregation of the identified business logic into business rule descriptions which are linked, in a traceable manner, to business requirements contained in an IBM Rational RequisitePro database. Required features: (1) Repository - multi user; (2) Repository ? import/export; (3) business logic identification; (4) business logic cataloging; (5) business logic aggregation into business rule; (6) business rule linkage to business requirement using IBM Rational RequisitePro (a tool already in use on the system); (7) Support for ClearPath MCP COBOL74 and COBOL85; (8) Support for ClearPath MCP WFL; and (9) Artifacts ? Source listing, Logic flow, call History, Object References. Responses to the RFI must be received by close of business (COB) May 31, 2005. Three copies of each response must be hand delivered or sent via an overnight courier service to Holly Carr, GSA FSS CIO, 1901 South Bell Street, Arlington, VA 22202.
