Description
THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. The purpose of this notice is to announce that the Government will hold One-on-Ones with Industry, by appointment only, on June 7th and 8th (and possibly 9th) 2005 at Tinker, Oklahoma for the procurement of Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for the E-6B. The Government will entertain comments and questions from interested parties regarding the Procurement Strategy and the draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) available on the NAVAIR website referenced below. Interested parties are required to respond to this announcement with their company name, as well as the names of each individual that will be attending no later than 3:00pm EST on 05/27/05. Details will be provided to interested parties. All requested information and / or questions must be submitted via email to: Ms. Vicki Dean at (vicki.dean@navy.mil) . As synopsized on 17 March 2005, Reference Number ?E-6B CLS O to D,? NAVAIR intends to procure CLS for the E-6B platform. No aircraft maintenance or engineering support will be required. Support will be provided in an Organization to Depot (O to D) maintenance environment, and will encompass CLS Program Management, Repair of Repairables, Supply Support, Maintenance and Training of Support Equipment (SE) Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation (PHS&T), as well as metrics data collection, management, and reporting. The period of performance will cover a one-year base period and four one-year options. Formal RFP release will occur on or about 07/28/05 with proposals due on or about 09/14/05. NAVAIR is providing the following new documents for industry consideration and comment: a draft E-6B PWS and a draft Contract Schedule B. This information is available at the following website, http://www.navair.navy.mil/doing business/open solicitations/. AT THIS TIME, NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS EXIST. This presolicitation announcement is not a contract, a request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind. The Navy will NOT assume liability for costs incurred by any offeror for travel expenses, presentations, marketing efforts or any data offered for examination; therefore, the cost of preparing information in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
