- The Government has a requirement to procure AN/PVS-7 Night Vision goggles and AN/PVS-14 Monocular Night Vision Devices and associated spare image intensifier tubes This is a head or helmet mounted Enhanced Gen III I2 monocular night vision device for ground use. The AN/PVS-14 is intended for use by small unit leaders to enhance their capability for nighttime command and control, surveillance, and engaging enemy targets with directed rifle fire when used in conjunction with the AN/PAQ-4 Aiming Light o r the Close Combat Optic (CCO). The MNVD is capable of being mounted to the AN/PVS-7B/D headmount, the Kevlar Helmet Mount, and the standard small arms rail. The MNVD is small enough to fit in a combat uniform shirt pocket, can be worn in front of either eye, can be hand-held, and interfaces with all AN/PVS-7 accessories. The MNVD utilizes an MX-11769 configuration image intensifier tube that allows the operator to adjust gain at the system level. The AN/PVS-7 is a head or helmet mounted Enhanced Gen II I I2 ground system. The AN/PVS-7 system enables an individual Soldier to perform a wide variety of tasks at night. These tasks include walking, operating vehicles, surveillance, map reading, maintenance, first aid operations, and engaging enemy targets w ith directed rifle fire when used in conjunction with the AN/PAQ-4 Aiming Light. The AN/PVS-7 utilizes one MX-10130 configuration Image Intensifier Tube and is equipped with accessories including the compass attachment and infrared (IR) spot/flood accesso ry.This will be solicited for a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) for the production of up to 13,000AN/PVS-7s, 360,000 AN/PVS-14s, 116,000 MX-10130 Image Intensifiers, and 95,700 MX-11769 Image Intensifiers for a contract ter m of 60 months. Award(s) will be made to best value proposal, which is determined to be the most beneficial to the Governemnt based upon the criteria discussed in the solicitation. The official release of the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted on the internet at the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) web sit located at the following address: https//:acquisition.army.mil. The on-line version of the RFP includes all documents of the solicitation package. No hard copy of this RFP will be issued. Amen dments, if any, will be posted at the same location as the solicitation. The complete solicitation package, including amendments should be received and reviewed prior to submitting a response. It is the responsibility of those responding to the solicitati on to obtain all amendments and/or other applicable documents.
