Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation ; quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N68836-05-T-0104 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. This procurement is set aside for small business 02. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-26 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-19. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333994 and the business size standard is 500 . Fleet Contracting Center, Naval Air Station Jacksonville Fl intends to purchase on a competive basis the following line items VACUUM FURNACE IAW THE FOLLOWING SPECS: Minimum Specification Requirements for Small Vacuum Furnace The below specifications are the details of the minimum requirements for vacuum furnace heat treatment. Presently the depot?s vacuum furnace is hard down for repair and structurally could fail at any time. The specifications below are similar to the existing vacuum furnace specifications, as we need similar capabilities to process multiple grade steel and tool steel parts. The new unit shall be comparable to the following specifications: General: Pressure: 2 bar Work zone: 12?W x 24?D x 12?H Heat Elements: Molybdenum or Graphite Insulated HOTZONE Max. Temp. 2400oF Min. 400Amps Furnace Pwr: 135KW/460V/170A/60Hz Control Pwr: 3.5KW/460V/7.6A/60Hz Auxiliary Pwr: 92.5KW/460V/117A/60Hz Phase: 3 Positive and Negative Quench capabilities Backfill Pressure: 15psig or 2 bar Max. Quench: 15psig or 2 bar Hearth support up to 1500lbs. Hearth removable Sight Port Energy efficient Nitrogen and Argon backfill gases New control panel, programmable controls, chart, over temperature control, gauge controller Control Thermocouple: Type S for overtemp. Work Thermocouple: Type K Test port installed for Temperature Surveys Capable to pump down to 0.1 micron Diffusion Pump capable to pump down to 0.001 microns Accessories to include: Load truck: up and down, in and out, guided rails Work Grid Door latch (can be added for safety) Memory Module for program backup Application: Hardening Solution Heat Treating (Anneal) Used for steel and some titanium parts Additional Info: Terms of Warranty Company responsible for full install, NAVAIR will support facilities (bolt to deck, power connections) needed.
