Description

The United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration (NCA) is intending on setting this requirement a-side as a 100% 8(a) Competitive Procedure under the Small Business Administration?s 8(a) Program, in accordance with FAR Part 19.804-2(c) and FAR Part 19.805. The intent of an awarded contract shall be to have a small disadvantaged business under the 8(a) Program provide all necessary services (titled as Raise/Realign Headstones and Markers Services) at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Contractor gaining award shall provide all personnel, management, supplies, transportation, equipment and reports necessary to cover all included Upright Headstone and Flat Marker Adjustments, Realignments, Resettings, and Backfill Requirements, all Upright Headstone and Flat Marker Cleaning, and all Turf Grass Re-establishment (as further clarified in the solicitation). The awarded contract shall cover a base period, from date of award through 12 consecutive months, and three (3) option periods that allows the Government to unilaterally extend the contract period for 12 months each. These services fall under NAICS Code 561730 (Cemetery Plot Care Services), with a size standard of $6,000,000.00. This notice is not a request for proposals and no contract award will be made on the basis of responses received, but all interested Contractors qualified under the SBA 8(a) Program and the above NAICS Code must contact me directly by no later than 4:00 p.m., local time, May 13, 2005, either by FAX or by e-mail with your company name, complete address, telephone number, contact person, facsimile number and e-mail address. I will issue all Solicitation packages directly to that contact person, so a record can be kept of all participating Contractors.
