- NOTICE OF INTENT TO PROCURE A BUNDLED CONTRACT: The VA National Acquisition Center will issue Request for Proposal (RFP) 797-NC-05-0015 for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Department of Defense (DoD) for Mirtazapine Tablets. The estimated annual usage of Mirtazapine tablets is as follows: 38,156 bottles of 15mg tablets in bottles of 30 each; 8,744 bottles of 15mg in bottles of 500 OR 4,372 bottles of 15mg in bottles of 1000 each; 49,534 bottles of 30mg tablets in bottles of 30 each; 16,876 bottles of 30mg in bottles of 500 OR 8,438 bottles of 30mg in bottles of 1000 each; 24,855 bottles of 45mg tablets in bottles of 30 each; 1,932 bottles of 45mg in bottles of 500 OR 966 bottles of 45mg in bottles of 1000 each. NOTE: Where there is a choice of package size as indicated by the word “OR”, the offeror must submit a price on at least one of the two sizes indicated. Award will be made on the package size most advantageous to the Government. The contract period will be for one year plus four one-year option periods. The contract items will be distributed through the VA and DoD's respective Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor(s) (PPV). Offeror’s must provide bar code labeling which includes at a minimum the NDC number. In addition, tablets must be compatible with automatic dispensing units (Baxter ATC Canisters, Optifil, etc.). If the offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. The estimated quantities listed above are for VA and DoD only. The Bureau of Prison (BoP) and Indian Health Service (IHS) requirements are forthcoming and will be included in the solicitation once issued. OFFERS ARE NOT BEING SOLICITED AT THIS TIME. The solicitation will be available for downloading, on or about the issue date of April 1, 2005 from the VA Office of Acquisition and Material Management’s (O&AMM) internet web site @ http://www.va.gov/oamm/busopp/sols.htm.
