- Description
- The Department of Defense, TRICARE Management Activity has a requirement for a web-based alcohol abuse prevention education demonstration project for active duty service members only at eight designated installations, four with the project and four control installations, to test the effectiveness of this intervention in a repeated measures study. The project must include data collection, follow-up, and pre- and post-project assessment designed to reduce alcohol abuse among the active duty military population. Department of Defense Institutional Review Board approval must be achieved. A comprehensive analysis of the project is to be provided annually. The analysis must be a scientifically based analysis examining all factors related to the success and/or failure of the project in reducing alcohol abuse and must include factual based recommendations for expansion/cancellation of the project. An internal quality management/quality improvement program will be required. The period of performance includes the base year and one one-year option period. All interested sources capable of performing this service will be considered. The proposed contract type is firm fixed price. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued on or about 31 May 2005. The date for receipt of proposals is anticipated to be 30 June 2005.
