Description

The Naval Medical Logistics Command, 1681 Nelson Street, Frederick, MD 21702-9203, intends to negotiate a Sole Source personal services procurement with the current Director, Armed Forces Center for Child Abuse, National Naval Medical Center, 8901 Wisconsin Ave, Bethesda, MD. The requirement is to provide services as the Director, Armed Forces Center for Child Abuse at National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. The incumbent is a current, active duty U.S. Naval Officer who has been selected to fill this position through a competitive OPM recruitment action. She is scheduled for retirement from active duty on 30 June 2005 and the proposed personal services award is a temporary measure to ensure continuity of a vital service until she is officially brought on duty as a government civilian employee. When this occurs, the award will be terminated. The anticipated award will not exceed 92 days (1 July 2005 ? 30 Sept 2005). This is a SOLE SOURCE Procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and is not a request for competitive quotes. However, responses received from other responsible businesses prior to close of business on Tuesday, 24 May 2005 will be evaluated. Offerors responding to this notice must provide proof that they can provide the requested services.
