- General Information Document Type: Sources Sought Notice Posted Date: Category: Sub-caliber Training Device for LAV-25mm Weapon System Classification Code: Training Aids & Devices Contracting Office Address TACOM Warren MI, Attn: AMSTA PM LAV-I, Warren, MI 48090 Description The Program Manager's Office, Light Armored Vehicles (PM LAV) is seeking potential suppliers of a sub-caliber training device for the turret-mounted LAV Bushmaster 25mm M242 Gun. The device will be used on the Saudi Arabian National Guard LAV-25. The devi ce should be simple, rugged and provide realistic gunnery training for the LAV crew. The selected device will preferably be mounted to, or replace, the M242 or 25mm Bushmaster barrel on the vehicle, and allow the crew to train at combat ranges at full, or half scale, targets at a fraction of the cost of 25mm ammunition. The training device should be easily deployed, and be supportable by the crew in remote training areas. The supplier should be capable of providing an Operators Manual, and a list of cre w tools required to maintain the device. A list of spare parts for supporting the device for a period of 2 ? years will also be required. The supplier should also be capable of providing 32 hours of user training in Saudi Arabia.
