Description

This announcement is to provide notification of The Department of Veterans Affairs Network 22 Logistics Office intent to enter into a sole source Consignment Agreement with Boston Scientific Corporation for FDA approved Taxus Express Drug-Eluting Coronary Stents. Boston Scientific will provide the stents in various sizes and quantities to be readily accessible for the San Diego Veterans Affairs Healthcare System. The agreement will be for a twelve month base period with four one-year option periods. This procurement is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 13.501(a), Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, in conjuction with Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS)code is 339113 and the Small Business Size Standard(SIC)is 500 employees. This requirement will be awarded on an unrestricted basis. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide the product. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer within ten days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received the Veteran Affairs San Diego Healthcare System, will proceed with the intended consignment agreement. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. Information can be sent to Network 22 Logistics Office, Attn: Roger W.
