Description
This is a request for information on U.S. Coast Guard’s proposed solicitation for medical reference laboratory services. The U.S. Coast Guard, Maintenance & Logistics Command Pacific (fcp-3) is requesting industry comments on a proposed Performance Work Statement (attached) for medical reference laboratory services. The laboratory services will include a full line of medical tests for 40 USCG clinics located throughout the nation: West Coast and Alaska, Great Lakes, Gulf Coast, and East Coast. The prime contractor, in the firm’s laboratories, is required to perform a majority of the tests. The proposed acquisition will be solicited with full and open competition without being set-aside for small business. All responsible sources are requested to submit all comments no later than 18 May 2005 to Mr. Henry Chung at email hchung@d11.uscg.mil, phone (510) 437-5916 or Mr. William McIntyre at email WMcIntyre@d11.uscg.mil, phone (510) 437-3731 or by fax (510) 437-3014. Attached are the Performance Work Statement (a Word document), Lab Interoperability Guide (two PDF documents), and a partial list of possible tests. The two PDF files are not USCG documents; they are provided for your reference as guidance for connecting to Laboratory Interoperability generated by SAIC who designed, manage and maintain CHCS (Composite Health Care System). NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (04-MAY-2005); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
