Description

Cost plus fixed fee ? completion contract for one year. Sole Source to Sonatech, Inc., a segment of Channel Industries (small). Sonatech is the sole manufacturer of the AN/BQN-13A submarine pinger electronics (dry-end). The contractor will identify obsolete and out-of-production parts, propose new parts, and fabricate a model which demonstrates that the re-designed unit will function properly and meet stringent man-rated quality assurance requirements. The objective is to provide a satisfactory product for new submarines and a means of repairing existing units. This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form.
