Description

The work consists of removing the existing timber camels from the abutments and placing them at a designated storage area within the project site and replacing these camels with Government owned marine fender units (SCN 1800 Super Cone Fenders, manuf actured by the Fentek Corporation) attached to the existing concrete abutments. The work is to be performed at the Stamford Hurricane Barrier, Stamford, Connecticut. The estimated cost of this procurement is between $25,000 and $100,000. This solicitation will be available on or about 23 May 2005. Prospective contractors are required to self register their firm on the Internet to receive this solicitation. Registration instructions are available on the internet at http://www.nae.usace.army.mil. Amendments, if any, will be available at this Internet site. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests will be accepted. Registrants are responsible for the accuracy of the i nformation on the registration list. The applicable NAICS code is 237990 with a Small Business Size Standard of $28,500,000. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the New England District.
